Admittedly, I snatched this from a Facebook share. However, this is an awesome idea.

 

Required items: 

• A container with an airtight lid (I use a 2QT food storage bowl w/screw on lid)
• 4-6 sponges (I use small, thin, cheap ones)
• 2 cups fabric softener (any brand/’flavor’)
• 4-5 cups water

Directions: 

• Gently stir fabric softener and water together in container ..add sponges and put on lid to leave soak.

 

To Use:

• squeeze out 1 sponge and put it in the dryer with your load of wet clothes ..when clothes are dry, put the sponge back into the container of mix.

Results:

• EXACTLY the same as using the expensive dryer sheets that get thrown away!!!!!
  Refill container as needed ..but that won’t be very often at all …MAYBE twice a year or less!!!
  NOTE: If you use a smaller container ….just make as much mix as needed to fill it …it’s basically 1 cup softener to 2 cups water (a little extra water doesn’t hurt)

• Total cost: $5 ………sponges $3 (2/$1) ..container $1 ..fabric softener $1 (ALL purchased at Dollar Tree)

I was fortunate to get a Farmer’s Almanac for Christmas.

Reviewing the almanac, I found the dates for 2016. Below are the dates for garden planting in the RIver Valley area (Arkansas / Oklahoma).

         

 

 

I would also highly suggest building raised beds and utilize Square Foot Gardening .

I thought i would try something different. As most know, I am in the process of finishing up my novel regarding a family thrust into the prepper lifestyle.

I have also started on a new Teen Fiction book titled “Sight and Sound”.

Here is the summary:

Jacob O’Brian just became the top gamer of the world, winning the VRD (Virtual Reality Dimension) tournaments. His future looked bright, as he became champion. An accident occurred causing physical blindness, but allowing him to see an otherwise unknown world.

Samuel Mcgee could always hear Ryan speak to him and give him information, no-one else could know. 16 years of age, he already has helped detectives and others with his invisible friend Ryan.

Now the two boys will be thrust together, using sight and sound to uncover a horrible plot, while trying to survive.
